The Scion thing is a failure, even the best fail from time to time. You started Scion to sell funky looking JDM cars to kids with cash, cars that are not sold as Toyotas outside Japan, and it worked, for a few years. But now, teens have less cash, and are going after more mainstream cars.
And the cars, when the most relevant Scions, are sold globally, as Toyotas, you know that Scion failed, it is dead weight, and all the marketing money spent on Scion, are money thrown down the drain. Do the honorable thing Toyota, let Scion end its misery.

Whatever man I see TCs everywhere. They think they are driving a friggin race car. Just a coupe camry but they would never check the toyota logo stamped right there on the engine block.

It's actually doing a decent job selling cars on a budget and on one basic trim, not like A BILLION FUCKING trim levels a car doesn't deserve (Ford and Toyota, I'm squinting at you.) Want a sunroof? Sure! No need for packages (The fuck is with packages?) or required accessories!

Plus, it's a huge canvas of possibilities to do whatever you want to it. I could go on and on why Scion came at the right time but I'm busy.

Just to be clear, are you saying that the brand should die, but not the cars (sell them as Toyotas, not Scions)? If so, I completely agree. I can't think of another brand that harms the marketability of their products as much as Scion does. Every single one of their cars would sell better with a Toyota badge on them. And those cars would liven up the Toyota lineup too, giving the Toyota brand a much needed boost. It would be win-win.

Have you seen the morning shift? I bet 30% of Toyota dealers will drop Scion. Toyota would be better of by bringing Daihatsu stateside, and put the right badges on the 86.

That depends on how much Scions are moving out of a particular area.

So it's kind of ignorant to say Scion failed as a whole.

Yeah, FRS and IQ are sold as Toyotas in the EU and Japan, the silly looking Juke rivaling crossover, they showed dealers, will wear a Toyota badge outside 'murica too.

Don't forget the xD. We seem to get those as the (I kid you not) Toyota Urban Cruiser in Europe. It's labeled as a crossover. I haven't seen many, but I have seen them around.

We don't get the xB or tC, nor did we get the xA.

Scions always seem to attract two kinds of crowds.

1. People who already know that it's Toyota.

2. People who already know that it's Toyota and are hip octogenarians.

Scion brand itself doesn't add anything. Toyota name still has a great pull among car buyers where as Scion means nothing to people who don't already know that it's a Toyota brand. It's a waste to run separate operations under Scion brand.

I always though the point of Scion is to be a technically American company (headquarters in California) selling cars made over seas, instead of a foreign company selling cars as it's taxed differently. I'm not sure, this is just how I always told myself why Scion still exists.

Scion was not a failure, however the way they are handling their second (and now third) gen is not that good. The new tC wasn't of any particular wowness nor was there as much potential for customization as the previous one. The new xB was bloated and lost much of its funk that the previous generation was adored for while gaining bloat.

The new cars also feel more like compromises than the previous generation than what's offered at similar prices. Even the FR-S is a stripped down cost-wise version of the GT86. The iQ? Could've looked better, you know, like the iQ and not the scion piglet.

No they wouldn't. People who buy them don't care about cars, they care about image. That's why scion isn't dead yet: the Ken Block/Monster loving crowd. To appear rather than to be. That's who buys scion tc's, and they are legion.
